Welcome to South Holderness Swimming Club
President Mrs Joan Riley
We hope you enjoy your visit to our site
South Holderness Swimming Club was founded in 1980 by local parents for local children interested in swimming and is proud that it still works to the same criteria today.
The Club is run solely by volunteers to achieve two main aims:

To provide opportunities for all children to reach their potential and improve their ability and fitness in the sport of swimming in a friendly, supportive and safe environment.
To provide coaching for all swimmers to achieve the standards necessary to take part in Competitive Swimming in a range of Galas from Club level to County level and onto National Level. The Club provides a satisfying and rewarding experience for ALL of its members, including the non-swimmers. For swimmers with the ability and commitment to reach high levels of performance the Club can provide a route to the top.

We progress all swimmers as per their ability. We give swimmers the opportunity to take part in competitive swimming. This is compulsory and occasionally a younger swimmer might request not to swim in galas but they do eventually change their minds when they hear the other kids talking about their gala experiences and once they’ve tried a gala they are usually hooked.
